Captain Mike Cacciotti is the local Galveston fishing guide behind Mike’s Fishing Services, and his connection to the water started early. He caught his first fish at just six years old while fishing alongside his dad, learning how to cast, read the water, and respect the Gulf Coast environment. What began as a family tradition slowly grew into a lifelong passion that stayed with him through every stage of life.
After years working at an oil refinery, Mike spent his weekends guiding part-time, sharing his local knowledge with families and visiting anglers. When he retired, he transitioned into guiding full time, bringing more than 20 years of guiding experience on the Gulf Coast to every trip. His background and consistency on the water have made him a reliable choice for anyone looking for a seasoned Galveston fishing guide who understands tides, seasonal patterns, and fish behavior.
Captain Mike is known for his calm, safety-first approach and his ability to work equally well with beginners, kids, and experienced anglers. He focuses on clear communication, patience, and teaching guests how to fish Galveston Bay the right way. This approach has helped Mike’s Fishing Services earn repeat customers and strong word-of-mouth among those seeking family-friendly fishing charters in Galveston.
Trips are run aboard a 24-foot Kenner center console, originally built in 1998 and fully restored in 2017. Powered by a 250 HP Honda engine, the boat cruises comfortably and is equipped with GPS, fishfinder, livewell, quality safety gear, and all the essentials needed for a smooth day on the water. Whether you’re planning inshore fishing, bay trips, or nearshore outings, Captain Mike’s boat is set up to keep guests comfortable, informed, and focused on enjoying their time fishing with Mike’s Fishing Services.
